During the measuring for the ÖSTM (Austrian Championship) in Neusiedl it was found that the life jackets of 6 sailors did not have the required buoyancy of 50 N and therefore were not conforming to the rules.

Regel C.1.3. "When racing, each crew member shall wear personal flotation device to the minimum standard ISO 12402-5 (Level 50) or equivalent. Inflatable buoyancy vests are not permitted."

This will be closely observed also during the ÖJM (Austrian Youth Championships)!

Just in time the Jollenplateau has been finished before the season starts.

In regard to the Austrian Youth Championship 2013 (ÖJM 2013), starting in end of August, the renewal of the pier was urgent. Due to this renewal we could eleiminate existing security risks for our members, guest and participants of Regattas. We are looking forward to the ÖJM 2013 and hope to welcome many attendees.

ÖJM 2013 – The International Austrian Youth Sailing Championships are the most important annual youth sailing event in Austria. It is hosted at Yachtclub Podersdorf for the first time since foundation of the club. The Championships will be conducted for the classes 29er, 470, 420, Laser Radial, Zoom8 and Optimist.

Preparations are already in full gear and everybody is looking forward to this Mega-Event!
